Big Lottery BBO / ESF

Building Better Opportunities brings together funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund (ESF) to help tackle the poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people in England.

Led by Groundwork London, ACE is a partnership of 11 organisations in London, including HCT Group Learning Centre. Together, the partnership aims to support unemployed Londoners aged 25 and over with disabilities and long term health conditions make the transition into sustainable employment. The project will offer paid Intermediate Labour Market work placements (ILMs) in a range of sectors across 17 boroughs in London.

HCT Group target boroughs include: Greenwich, Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth, Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.

London Councils / ESF

South London programme

London Councils ESF Programme aim to improve the employability and skills of unemployed and economically inactive people.

Led by London Training & Employment Network (LTEN), Steps into Work is a partnership of voluntary organisations, including HCT Group Learning Centre. Together, the partnership aim to equip individuals with the personal and occupational skills they need to access and compete effectively in the labour market.

HCT Group target boroughs include: Croydon, Lambeth and Wandsworth. The delivery will support participants’ employability and occupational skills to access work placement and jobs in the education and passenger transport sectors.

London Councils / ESF

East London programme

London Councils ESF Programme aim to improve the employability and skills of unemployed and economically inactive people.

Led by Redbridge CVS, Aim Higher is a partnership of voluntary organisations, including HCT Group Learning Centre. Together, the partnership aim to equip individuals with the personal and occupational skills they need to access and compete effectively in the labour market.

HCT Group target boroughs include: Hackney and Tower Hamlets. The delivery will support participants’ employability and occupational skills to access work placement and jobs in the education and passenger transport sectors.

Royal Borough of Greenwich / Skills Funding Agency (SFA)

Royal Borough of Greenwich Department of Regeneration Enterprise & Skills brings together funding from the SFA and the European Social Fund (ESF) to help tackle social exclusion faced by adult learners aged 19+ living in Greenwich. HCT Group Learning Centre will deliver specialist employability programmes to long term unemployed adults to aid transition into higher level courses or paid employment across a range of sectors.

The courses include:

Work Skills, Personal Behaviour for Success, Personal Safety Awareness, Health & Safety at Work, Emergency First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, Equality, Diversity & Safeguarding, Effective Communication, Principles of Carrying & Delivery of Goods by Road, Driving Goods Vehicle and Health & Social Care.

Depending on the course, the duration ranges from from 1 day courses to 6 weeks courses

Barking & Dagenham College (BDC) / Skills Funding Agency (SFA)

Barking & Dagenham College brings together funding from the SFA and the European Social Fund (ESF) to help tackle social exclusion faced by adult learners aged 19+ living in London. HCT Group Learning Centre will deliver employment focussed courses such as QCF Level 2 Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (STLS), QCF Level 2 Children & Young People’s Workforce (CYPW) to long term unemployed adults to aid transition into higher level courses such as Level 3 in STLS, Early Years Educator (EYE) or paid employment in education and care sectors.

Advanced learning loan: This is available to participants aged 19+ wishing to undertake training courses at level 3 or above. The range of courses include STLS, EYE, Assessor award, Information Advice & Guidance (IAG), Education & Training,

HCT Group target boroughs include: London wide.
